The Guardian has a short interview up with a homeless Polish engineer, Pawel Narojczyk (below).

Here’s some interesting stats from the vid:

  •  Around 650Eastern Europeans are homeless in London, 68% of them are Polish.
  • More than 700,000 registered migrants have arrived in the U.K. since 2004, the actual number is thought to be much higher.
  • Migrants can apply for benefits if they’ve completed 12 months continuous work with only a 4 week break. This can be proved by signing up for the Worker’s Registration Scheme but many are dissuaded by the 90 pound fee.
  • 75% of all homelessness day centers in England are now working with E.U. nationals.
