Oh no, I have a friend who got in a few years ago, he did a a degree in Spanish which I guess helped or they have changed the criteria. Try England the land of the free:-)! We need as many politically aware people as possible at the moment.

Am so sorry to hear this. I don’t know of a country that would not be honored to have you.

As a last resort you could always move back to the States, Chicago in particular, where the government is much more sane. The process here is quite well understood, and moves much faster.

try Munich – or Berlin – Germany’s a very open and tolerant place these days – and definitly in need of optimistic and enthusiastic people like you…

Although – I guess there also will be a couple of administrative absurdities to cope with – but still – you’ll get it done. If us Europeans manage to get a longtime work visa for the states – it should be a no brainer for you!

As much as I love Spain, I am reassured time after time that the people who work ‘behind the scenes’ here have no clue. I am going through this same process (which I started almost a year ago) and I haven’t been able to finish even the first step (of many) due to an overwhelming amount of incompetency. Karina, I am sorry that you have fallen victim to these bureaucratic morons! I am sure to be the next… But it is such good advice as you said, to live in the present! It truly is all that we are promised. I am so sorry again for all this mess that you have been through. besos sweets!

Siento que el proceso no terminase con éxito. La burocracia se inventó para fastidiar al ciudadano no para ayudarlo. No se como será en otros paises pero creo que en los paises de influencia latina todos los asuntos de oficiales son muy complicados.
